Alastair Waite is a seasoned professional at CommScope, having joined the company in September 2003 as a Product Manager for the Enterprise Fiber Optic division. Over the years, he has held several key positions, including Head of Enterprise Product Management for EMEA, Head of Market Management, and Data Center Business Leader in EMEA. Since January 2016, Alastair has been responsible for architecting CommScope's data center solutions in Europe, ensuring that customer infrastructures are poised for growth in this dynamic market segment. In his current role, Alastair focuses on developing innovative infrastructure solutions to meet the evolving demands of artificial intelligence (AI) in data centers. He emphasizes the need for new network architectures, advanced networking technologies, and a fresh approach to infrastructure cabling design to support the AI revolution. Alastair is also an active contributor to industry discussions, sharing insights on AI and data center infrastructure through CommScope's blog. Notably, he has authored articles such as "Bringing more order to AI data center infrastructure orders" which provides guidance on navigating the complexities of structured cabling solutions in AI environments.
