Bob Mitchell is the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Electronics Council, where he leads the organization in advancing its mission and vision. With expertise in business and human rights, environmental sustainability, and corporate programs, Bob has a strong background in fostering responsible practices across industries.
Previously, Bob served as Vice President of Human Rights & Environment at the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), where he developed and implemented strategies for responsible business conduct. His efforts launched major initiatives in Forced Labor Due Diligence, Decarbonizing Supply Chains, Circularity, and Supply Chain Resiliency.
Bob’s sustainability journey spans over 15 years at Hewlett Packard and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. As Director of Global Social & Environmental Responsibility, he managed teams focused on human rights, environmental stewardship, supply chain responsibility, and conflict minerals. He also contributed to industry advancements as a member of the RBA Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of Social Accountability International (SAI).
Bob holds an MBA from the University of Arizona and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. His leadership continues to shape sustainable and ethical practices within the electronics sector.
