Helen Wylie

Helen Wylie is Director General and Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) for DWP. She leads Digital Group, with responsibility for all digital services, technology and data used across the department.
Helen joined DWP in 2018. Before that, she worked in a variety of technology and digital delivery roles in organisations including The Bank of England, Experian and TNT Post Group.
Prior to taking the CDIO role, Helen was Digital Group’s Chief Technology Officer and Director of the Strategic Delivery Unit, where she was heavily involved in DWP’s broader service modernisation agenda which is shaping the organisation of the future. Helen is also passionate about the immense potential of digitalisation to help improve the services offered to millions of customers.
She is also the DWP Gender Champion, playing a leading role in insight-sharing and recommendation-making on gender-related issues within the department.
