Michael Byrne is the Head of Data Centre Design & Engineering for Eaton’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa region (EMEA). He is responsible for providing senior engineering direction to Eaton’s extended data centre team, ensuring that every project meets and exceeds industry standards. Michael has extensive experience in engineering leadership, with a strong commitment to driving excellence across the company’s data centre initiatives. His client-centric approach enables him to build deep insights and relationships with client organisations, identifying their operational challenges and needs. This allows him to translate their requirements into high-value systems engineered solutions and services. Previously, Michael has held leadership roles in engineering, programme management, and commercial strategy in organisations such as Microsoft, Arup and Ethos Engineering. He is a recognised technical and engineering subject matter expert in the data centre industry and continues to set a high standard in engineering proposals, project execution, services and support that resonate with clients’ business goals. Michael holds a degree in engineering from TUD, Dublin. He is currently based in Dublin, Ireland.
